Abdominoplasty

An abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reshape and support the abdominal area by removing excess skin and strengthening the underlying muscles. It is often considered following significant weight changes, pregnancy, or when the abdominal wall has lost tone and definition.

There are several types of abdominoplasty, each tailored to different needs. A full abdominoplasty addresses both the upper and lower abdomen, while a mini abdominoplasty focuses on the area below the navel. An extended abdominoplasty can improve contour beyond the abdomen, including the flanks, and a fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty may be recommended where more extensive skin removal is required, particularly after major weight loss.
